Trustees are locally elected representatives who govern the Edmonton Catholic School Division (ECSD). They are responsible for overseeing operations, making decisions in the best interest of the entire division, and representing the views of their constituents.
Trustees also serve as communicators, policymakers, and advocates for Catholic education, ensuring that faith is integrated into all aspects of learning. Catholic trustees are accountable to both the Minister of Education and the Archbishop of Edmonton.
Trustees help shape school policies, approve budgets, and ensure that Catholic values are reflected in all aspects of education.
By voting, you help choose leaders who represent your priorities and values in the education system. It is your opportunity to have a say in how Catholic education is delivered in Edmonton.
For over four decades, Santo has dedicated his life to Catholic education and faith formation. As a youth minister, missionary, teacher, and parent, he has seen firsthand what inspires young people to grow in faith. It is time to bring Catholic back into our Catholic Schools.
